Before I start my post, I would like to draw attention to the victims of rape in the war. It may seem random crimes but rapes against women have been used systematically in many modern wars. This petition was passed down from my friend and this petition is condemn the accountability of UN lack of awareness to function as an international organization to bring awareness to how terrible the victims of the rape is and the victims have to go through.
When I saw the reaction of Me too women on how they responded to the brutal rape cases against Israeli women on October 7th, I was more than disappointed. Words matter but sometimes more than words matter and there is a moment I see the true nature of the activism in a way. At the same time, I don’t believe female victims of rapes used as weapons in the wars, not just October 7th, aren’t seriously condemned enough in the UN and there are too many women suffering from physical and mental trauma, resulting in deaths.
