Never Ending Holocaust Denial
(Archive May 12th)
First and foremost, the Holocaust is not over. Never Again was supposed to be never again. However, sadly, it occurred in the worst possible form on October 7, 2023. From May 12 to May 13th is a memorial day for Israel called Yom HaZikaron.
This blog presents my personal views more than facts, although I do discuss factual information here.
I would like to share my views and some of the reasons why Israel has every right to defend itself till the entire Hamas battalions and the senior Hamas members, including Sinwar, are eliminated. It is supposed to be a day to mourn, and I would rather write my post in that manner. However, this year is different.
It is a day to remember the fallen heroes who fought for Israel and the victims of the terror attacks committed by Palestinian terrorists. I realized that the Palestinian resistance does not seem to realize that there is a long history of terror attacks against innocent Israelis for decades after decades.
I saw a comment by a Japanese, "Those Israelis sit in a stranger's place(Palestinians' homeland after they were chased away), and now why can't Palestinians be angry?" This comment made me think a lot. It was actually not about the Palestinian conflict but the Sakhalin Islands, which the Japanese MoFA defines as "occupied territory by Russia" after the 2022 full-scale invasion.
Before getting into the main topic, it is preposterous that a Japanese person makes such a comment on social media. However, on social media, where many people use pseudonyms or remain anonymous, they believe they have the right to say anything they want. In the first place, the comment I raised as an example is totally illegitimate before criticizing a comment like this as Antisemitic.
