Edward Carr and Putin's Russia
(Archive July 3rd, 2023)
As I have written on Twitter, whether I agree with his ideology or not, Edward Carr's analysis was very interesting in looking at the two major world wars. This is attributed to the war that is happening and gaining a lot of attention among political scientists and researchers from various fields. Who is Putin, and what is he trying to do? When I look at Putin, as some analysts do, he is going toward the destruction of the country, Russia. I am not idealizing Soviet Russia or the Russian Federation as the best countries in the world.
Whether it is an authoritarian or a democratic country, it is obvious that Putin's "method" will dismantle the authoritarian political system that he has secretly built since he was elected as President of Russia. Inside Russia, Putin was not as popular as generally thought.
I will add here that Russian people are not well informed about the background of the lawmakers, including their corruption and all the crimes they have committed. The State Media are controlled and propagated. Putin has built his political empire with corruption and voting frauds of cheap methods, which means that he took away the individual rights to vote, which is the very basis of society or democracy.
