On Wednesday,
I had the pleasure of inviting a prominent Kurdish journalist, Suzan Quitaz, on my podcast. Suzan is currently based in the UK and Israel. She has worked for Al Jazeera before. We’ve discussed what Al Jazeera is about and how propaganda influences the public. I keep saying the narrative Al Jazeera uses is propaganda. When it comes to propaganda, it’s not just about Al Jazeera. Therefore, it was a very important opportunity for me to discuss the nature of propaganda with Suzan.
At the same time, for this podcast, I asked Suzan to talk about her identity, which is to be Kurdish. She shared very heartfelt thoughts about her identity, in addition to her upbringing.
