Reverend Barry Denison, Vice President of International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, wrote to me about how he feels about the hostages. When he thinks of them, he cries every day. Also, he thinks of the victims and their families as well. ICEJ supports those who are in need by supplying aid, food, and providing bomb shelters to people. There is more that ICEJ contributes to the Israeli people.

Christianity has roots and history in Jerusalem, as well. I am able to understand half of what he was speaking in an interview in Portuguese when he had an interview with a radio station, but it was quite fascinating to hear the history of Jerusalem, Israel, and Christianity in his words. I asked Rev. Barry if I could write about him and his activities. He said, “Yes, why not. I live in Israel and I’m not going to hide anywhere.”

This is a very difficult question for me to ask the Israeli people. When I talk with various people, I try not to ask about their friends and relatives unless they talk about it. Now, I have to care about how to write the birthday messages and messages of blessings…
